Colt First Generation U.S. Army Model Artillery Pistol With Custer Era Serial Number

Description:
This Colt's frame serial number dates to 1874. The pistol's serial number is 7894. This Colt has the proper 5 1/2 inch Artillery barrel. The bore is in surprisingly very good or better condition. The chambers are also in very good bright condition with no issues. The action works good with all cocks working. This Colt has the typical mixed parts that artillery models are known for. The frame has the lowest serial number of the serial numbers on this Colt. This frame also has the proper U.S. stamped on the left side of the frame. The wood grips appear to be civilian grips. This Colt is in patina condition. For all of the service this Colt has seen during the early years of our frontier it is still able to shoot! The Military cartridges are for display only and not for sale.
