Colt Single Action Army 7.5" 44-40 Frontier Six Shooter shipped to William Edmund Fitzgerald January 21, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Pearl grips, lots of blue and case color on this one. Perfect action and bore. Edmund Fitzgerald was the namesake of the Great Lakes freighter that was immortalized in the Gordon Lightfoot song "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". Edmund came from a prominent family of ship captains and was chairman of the board of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. His son, Edmund B. Fitzgerald later founded the Milwaukee Brewers MLB team. An outstanding piece of Great Lakes and American history.
