SOLD. COLT SINGLE ACTION TARGET MODEL...32 S & W CALIBER...5 1/2" BARREL...NICKEL FINISH......Saying this gun is rare is an understatement. On December 8, 1888 this revolver shipped to E.C. Meacham Arms Company, St. Louis, Missouri, in a shipment of 6. According to the book "The Official Record Colt Single Action Army Revolver 1873-1895" written by Don & Carrol Wilkerson and Kathleen Hoyt most target models were shipped with a 7 1/2" barrel and any other length is considered rare. From what I have read most of the target models were blue. Along with the Colt you will receive a box of .32-44 ammo and a nicely tooled holster. The restored nickel finish is super nice. It will rate 99%+. Action is strong. All four clicks are there. Lock-up is tight. The eagle grips are excellent with no cracks or chips. You will like this Colt Single Action Target Model. Add it to your collection and chances are you will have the only one among all your friends. American Arms & Antiques item number 3146.
