Here Ancestry Guns presents a Modern French Manurhin MR88 Double Action Revolver with a Matching Factory Case, Manual, and a Factory Certificate made by the Manufacture De Maschines Du Haut-Rhin, or Manurhin for short during its production run between 1988 to 2003 in France. The French company Chapuis Armes has been manufacturing the legendary Manurhin revolvers since 1998 at its factory in Saint-Bonnet-le-Château. Each MR88 revolver is known to have been assembled and hand-fitted in the purest tradition of high-end gunsmithing. Still today, Chapuis Armes continues to uphold, through its Manurhin revolvers, a legendary part of French gunsmithing heritage.

Prior to being released for sale to the public, all MR88 Revolvers undergo three successive tests, including Overpressure Tests, Function Tests, and Accuracy Tests. On average, 24 rounds are fired from each revolver before it is released for sale. They were made to fire tens of thousands of rounds reliably and is considered overbuilt, having been based on Ruger revolvers.

It features 4” barrel, 6 shot capacity, fixed sights, single/double action trigger and a stainless finish. MR 88 pistols are hand fitted quality-built pistols developed for law enforcement and are both accurate and rugged. The MR 88 was based on the F1 police model that was used by the French National Police. 

The overall condition is fine. The action is excellent, strong, and crisp in both double and single action. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The grips are in great shape.
