The Italian Bodeo Model 1889 is one of Europe's most recognizable military revolvers and served as the standard sidearm of the Royal Italian Army for decades. This example features the desirable folding-trigger Officer's configuration paired with the classic 4.5-inch octagonal barrel, giving it the unmistakable appearance collectors seek. The visible "1915" marking and Royal Italian Army acceptance stamp place this revolver squarely in the First World War period, making it an excellent representative example of Italy's wartime sidearms.

Mechanically, the Bodeo is known for its exceptionally robust construction and innovative Abadie loading system, which was considered advanced for its day. The solid steel frame, enclosed action, and durable lockwork earned these revolvers an outstanding reputation for reliability under harsh military conditions. Despite its age, the design remains one of the strongest late-19th-century service revolvers ever fielded.
