This is a Smith & Wesson K-22 Masterpiece (Pre-Model 17) revolver– Serial No. 111100 The K-22 Masterpiece is widely considered one of the finest .22 target revolvers ever made. Produced in the early 1950s, it came from the golden era of Smith & Wesson’s craftsmanship — a time when every part was hand-fitted and tuned for perfect lock-up and precision. These revolvers were built on the square-butt K-frame, giving them centerfire-size heft and balance, which translated to remarkable accuracy and shootability. But what elevates this particular K-22 to an elite tier is its ownership by Harry H. Sefried II.
