Smith & Wesson 24-4 "Through The Line" 44 Spl "Twelve Revolvers" 1990 #38
Description: Serial #BFJ5176, .44 Special, 6 ½ inch ribbed barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Model 24-4 revolver manufactured by Smith & Wesson in 1990 as part of the "Twelve Revolvers" limited edition series for Ellett Brothers of Chapin, South Carolina. Each of the firearms featured an action scene engraved on the sideplate based upon early S&W advertising paintings and was numbered and sold as a one a month set. The production run of 500 was never completed and some individual revolvers along with full sets were produced. This revolver is numbered 38 of 500 on the frame next to a horse mounted person shooting a revolver and is entitled on the barrel "THROUGH THE LINE". IN excellent condition the barrel and frame show virtually all, 97-98% of the original blue finish with only a light drag line on the cylinder. The serrated trigger and target hammer show vivid case-colors. The S&W medallion target stocks are excellent. It comes in the original two piece blue box numbered to the gun and includes the manual, cleaning tools, and paperwork. A rare 24-4 revolver only produced for this series in excellent condition.
