Smith & Wesson 44 Hand Ejector Nickle Plated With Pearl Grips And Factory Letter
Description:
This Smith & Wesson was produced in 1922. The pistol's serial number is 19515. The factory letter states that this pistol was shipped on October 17th, 1922 to Wolf & Klar Co. Fort Worth Texas. The Pearl Grips were added there most likely as an after market addition. Wolf & Klar were known for their Pearl Grips. The 6 1/2 inch barrel, butt swivel and nickel plating are also noted in the letter. There were 17510 of these 44 Hand Ejectors produced during it's production run. This Smith & Wesson is in very fine condition. The factory plating would rate a 96% overall condition. There are some scratches and one very small spot over "Smith" on the barrel. The plating is very bright and carries it's age well. The action works very smoothly The bore and chambers are bright with no pitting or wear. The hammer and trigger show muted color cased finish. The pearl grips have no cracks or loss. The coloring is stunning! This is a great looking "Smith" with a Texas association. Having this Texas history also makes this pistol highly collectable for Texas collectors as well as S & W collectors. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more information.
