This Smith & Wesson was produced in 1918. The pistol's serial number is 52675. It is the standard contract military pistol for World War One. It shoots the 45 A.C.P. cartridge with the half moon clips. The underside of the barrel is marked United States Property. It is all matched serial numbered. This pistol has all of the correct inspection marks and proof marks. The original bluing is in 99% condition. The color cased hammer and trigger retain all of the original finish. The plain wood grips are in very fine condition. This revolver shows no sign of ever being fired. The chambers and recoil shield have no burn marks or firing marks. The crane hold open plunger is intact and holds the crane open for easier loading. The bore is in minty condition. This pistol is a World War One Veteran's take home. It has been in the same family since the end of the Great War. It comes with the original W.W.1 lanyard. This Smith & Wesson is in near new unissued condition!
