An Early & Very Desirable War Of 1812 U.S. "Springfield Model 1795 Flintlock Musket Dated 1812" On The Lock And Top Of Butt Plate In Very Nice Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The scarce early musket has nice & very untouched metal and markings throughout. The lock in front of the hammer is marked "U.S. over An Eagle, & "SPRINGFIELD" under them in a half circle. The back of the lock is also "Dated 1812". The top of the barrel is "U.S. Proofed". All of the metal on the musket has an untouched & even dark chocolate brown patina on it. All of the wood on the musket is all original & also untouched with a wonderful darkening color to it. It has nice edges throughout it. The ramrod is also original on it. The musket has a nice action and good bore in it.
