The STD-15 upper begins with a 7075T6 aluminum forging and is machined on the very best aerospace machinery in the industry. At every step of the manufacturing process, each upper receiver is quality checked before continuing to the next operation. While other manufacturers outsource their uppers from a factory that manufactures hundreds if not thousands of upper receivers daily, at Standard Manufacturing, we manufacture our upper receivers one at a time.
