Unfired Custom CZ Brno .416 Rigby Sporter First Rate Workmanship Beautiful Wood

Here is an exceptional sporter in .416 Rigby, built on a CZ 550 action by the talented Idaho maker Robert "Bob" Mason.  The 22" barrel was made by Bill Atkinson of Atkinson & Marquardt (A&M Rifle Shop, Prescott, AZ.)  The Atkinson barrels were famous for accuracy, Bill having made sniper barrels for the Marine Corps.  The barrel of this rifle also has an internal lug which helps transfer recoil to the center of the stock and away from the tang. There is a ramped, banded, hooded front sight, and a banded front sling swivel.  The rifle sports a fantastic set of express sights, with one standing and three folding leaves.  The sights have not been filed.  The receiver has dovetails for Brno or CZ rings.  Mr. Mason chose a beautifully figured piece of Circassian walnut for the stock, and the inletting is first rate.  There is an ebony fore-end tip, and a pancake cheek-piece.  The pistol grip has a skeleton cap.  The length of pull is 13 3/4" including an English-style solid red pad.  The weight is 9 lbs 15 oz.  This rifle is of the highest quality, and in perfect, unfired condition.  It deserves to go to Africa.
