Description:
This is an exceptional sporter! This rifle belonged to well known master stockmaker Bob Emmons. It is built using an Eddystone U.S. Model 1917 action and is chambered for the .300 Apex cartridge. The rifle is gorgeous and the stock work is wonderful. The barrel measures 24" in length and is without sights. The rifle features a hinged floor plate and a Jaeger trigger that breaks like glass at about 3 lbs! The stock features wonderful fluer-de-lis checkering, ebony fore end tip and grip cap, swivels, shadow-line Monte Carlo cheekpiece and Nieder style buttplate. Overall condition is excellent with about 98% blue finish remaining. There is some edge wear to the floorplate and one small stain on the butt plate. No pitting anywhere. The stock is in excellent condition with the exception of a tight crack behind the receiver. The balance of the stock is just gorgeous with only a very few light handling marks. The mechanics are in perfect working order and the bore is excellent. This rifle comes with a fire-formed case (based on the .300 H&H). Dies and some brass comed with it. I also have a chamber cast...
