Very few Swedish custom rifles ever come to the U. S. market but this is a very nice gun with nice workmanship. The bottom of the barrel is marked "cal 8x68S Stenmark - 01" & "351109 - 2". The 8x68S is on par with a 338 Win. Mag. and shoots standard 8mm diameter bullets at .323". It is a true belt-less magnum cartridge that was developed by RWS in 1939 and they still offer their loadings with 4 different types of bullets including their famous H-Mantel bullet. It is offered by RWS in 180 to 224 grain bullets.
