Rare Swiss 1893 Cavalry Straight Pull Carbine All Matching 7.5x53.5mm

7.5X53.5mm; 40% blue, very good+ bore, good stock, 21.5'' barrel, Very rare Swiss cavalry issue Mannlicher straight pull bolt action carbine. One of just over 4,000 produced by Sig Neuhausen c.1897. Not many of these early carbines survived in original configuration due to hard use and even intentional damage, they were not well received by troops. Matching serial number bolt and 6 round capacity detachable magazine. Swiss military proofed and +/S inspector halmark. Stamped over the left side of the receiver chamber "S.J.G.NEUHAUSEN". Blued finish shows lots of wear with remaining finish in protected areas only. Walnut stock and handguard with a strong Cross in Shield stamp on the right side of the butt. Drift adjustable front sight blade. Tangent rear sight graduated for 1200 meters with a flip up 400 meter blade. Original leather sling which is in excellent condition. The stock has an extra coat of varnish on it, and there is a small crack at the end of the receiver tang and one on the heel at the buttplate tang. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Muzzle=7.55. Also comes with a more modern production Swiss cleaning kit (not pictured). Serial number is 3518

FULL payment is to be received within 10 days. We make no warranties or guarantees as to the fire-ability or safety of doing so on any of these items.  Firearms are not test fired, however we do test the action to see if it functions properly for a dry fire. We do not put any ammo in it or disassemble to check internal parts. We will sometimes take off barrels or stocks in an attempt to prevent damage in shipping. We only sell used guns, and have no way to know how many rounds have been through them.  WE DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY. ALL FIREARMS, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR FEDERAL ANTIQUE STATUS have to be shipped to a dealer for transfer within NY. Other states are fine, depending on your state laws. We will not ship to a New York, NJ, or CA C&R holder, a standard FFL is required.  There are some states in which a C&R handgun MUST be shipped to a dealer, such as MD. Please know your local laws.
