I.B.M. M1 Carbine In Unissued Condition
Description: This Carbine has no barrel date. The serial number is 3889888. It has the standard 18 inch barrel by I.B.M.. The bore is in minty condition. This is a late production carbine having the low wood stock, stamped parts and round blued bolt. The sights are original to this gun. All of these parts are correct for this gun in time frame and serial number range. Most of the parts show that distictive greenish grey tint finish. The stock and forend have the correct stampings for I.B.M. stock codes. The stock and forend are in new looking condition. The original wood finish is intact. The oiler slot shows no sign of ever having a sling and oiler fitted. The internal parts still have grease on them. It also has the correct coded magazine for I.B.M. This is really a minty looking I.B.M. that shows no sign of being issued! This gun would rate a strong 98% or better! This is the kind of Collector grade carbine that collectors dream of finding! I.B.M. produced only 5.7 percent of the carbines produced during the war. This Amounts to about 346500 firearms.
