Collector's Choice - This Garand 689XXX was produced in June of 1942 w/all of the correct parts.. The wood is a uniform stain reddish walnut throughout w/ minnimum wear and the correct flat lower band. The hand guard band is a grooved cast band (see pic) and wasn't changed until late '42 or early '43 (see Scott Duff The M-1 Gar...), The stock frrule has the the corerect hole in the bottom.
The receiver is a olive tone and consistant with the bolt the follower rod is a a darker w/similiar tones to the arm follower and
arm assembly. See inventory of all parts to follow.
