Packing grease in recesses I've left as been that way for 25 years that I know of(old collection). Fair bore and rifling on barrel stamped "SA 6535448 4 65 y 8 7" and after that star in box proof. NO pitting or salt and pepper with extra crisp grooves and threads fo easy transition to becoming a whole rifle with very little plug and play left since barrel already put on by Government(just need parts).
