The barrel and metal components remain in the bright, having been cleaned at some point, with factory markings still sharp and clearly legible. The stock is very good with a light coat of linseed oil applied and a visible cartouche on the right side, adding to its inspection character. Overall the musket presents well with a clean, maintained appearance. The action holds at both half and full cock, remaining mechanically functional. The musket is accompanied by a socket bayonet. Many of these were later exported during the Civil War.
