"WWI Eddystone Model 1917 Bolt Action Rifle .30-06 (L2026-08486)
Description:
"Serial no. 224524. Manufactured in January 1918 by Remington Arms - Eddystone Plant, chambered in .30-06 Springfield, 26"" round barrel marked “R/Flaming Bomb/11-18." Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The rifle remains in overall very good condition, with a faint “SAA" arsenal rebuild cartouche visible on the stock. The stock shows only minimal handling wear consistent with careful use and storage. The U.S. Model 1917 was the primary rifle carried by American forces during WWI and remains one of the most respected U.S. military bolt-action rifles. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
