On the left of the receiver is the block mark (28th block) followed by the full SN: 41039 and the Nagoya Arsenal mark. The bolt assembly and the bayonet lug are matched to the last three numbers. Unmarked cleaning rod and cupped metal buttplate. Complete with hooked quillion Type 30 bayonet marked with a Tokyo/Kokura arsenal stamp, SN: 4007, and blued metal scabbard.
Condition:
VG+ original finish, the metal parts retaining 97% of their original salt blue, the "worn" areas more related to the patchy oxidation, principally on the magazine floorplate and trigger guard, rather than use-related wear. Original finish stock with numerous handling marks, bruises and a few minor losses, the most noticeable on the finger groove, left side of stock, upper portion near sight. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. Bayonet is in the same general condition of the rifle, with a bright blade, the blued surfaces with light oxidative flecking and sharp edge wear, the wood with oil-stained darkening.
