"Serial no. 9130130869 (importer). Manufactured in 1938 at Tula Arsenal, chambered in 7.62x54R,29"" round barrel. The bore is good with light frosting noted in the grooves, while rifling remains strong and well defined. Factory-stamped serial numbers remain matching throughout. The rifle remains in overall very good condition and has undergone post-war Soviet arsenal refurbishment, a common practice for rifles retained in reserve storage following WWII. The left side of the receiver is import marked. Pre-war Tula rifles are often noted for their higher machining quality and finish compared to later wartime production examples. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
