For sale is my personal Savage Model 99R in the classic .300 Savage

All original
The Serial Number is 748420 which was manufactured in the Chicopee Falls factory around 1953-1954
24-inch medium weight barrel
Original factory front and rear sights
Factory swivel studs
Bolt has Damascus jeweled finish
Bluing on the barrel is very good
Bluing on the receiver and steel butt plate has some wear from good, old fashion, honest use
Checkered walnut stock is in very good condition, with original finish. It has a few small dents and impressions, but no cracks or chips
Checkering is still sharp and strong
Bore is very good and bright and shiny
Drilled and tapped from the factory for scope mounting

The rifle comes with Weaver bases and low rings and a Redfield 1x-4x scope, which is period correct. The scope is in excellent condition.
Overall, this is a very nice Model 99R that has spent time in the mountains and filled the freezer with deer and elk, but has been well taken care of.
This item will be shipped from my FFL to your FFL. Shipping cost is $85 to the lower 48.
