William Evans .256 (6.5x54 Mannlicher-Schoenauer) Sporter, 27" barrel

SOLD

Here is a very fine William Evans sporter built on a Mannlicher-Schoenauer action. The barrel is 27" with excellent bore. It features express rear sights, and a hooded front sight with flip-up moon sight. The barrel has a British-style sling eye, and is engraved: WILLIAM EVANS. 63. PALL MALL. ST JAMES'S. LONDON. There is a cocking piece peep sight. (A tang-mounted peep was removed.) The action is unbelievably smooth, as are all vintage Mannlicher-Schoenauer actions. The figuredpistol-grip stock has an ebony fore-end tip. The length of pull is 14 3/4" over a smooth steel butt-plate. The weight is 7 lbs 11 oz. A fabulous rifle.
