22" ROUND BARREL, QUARTER RIB, FOLDING ADJUSTABLE LEAF REAR SIGHT, BARREL BAND RAMPED TIPPED BLADE FRONT SIGHT, PISTOL GRIP,  GRIP CAP, 13-5/8" LOP,  RUBBER RECOIL PAD , 7 LBS 3 OZ

Falling-block single shot rifle with a 22-inch round blued steel barrel that is chambered for the .45-70 Govt. cartridge and is built with a quarter rib with integral scope mounts and a dovetailed folding adjustable leaf rear sight, barrel band ramped tipped blade front sight and barrel band stud for sling. Top of the barrel is roll marked "BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM // STURM, RUGER & CO. INC., SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A." and near the frame on the left side "45-70 GOVT." is roll marked and a stamped "R" inside an oval". The top of the frame ring is marked "RUGER NO1" while the bottom left side of the frame has the rifle's serial number. The rifle is fitted with a serrated sliding tang safety. The American walnut buttstock is fitted with a pistol grip, grip cap with golden Ruger Logo, borderless point pattern checkering and stud for sling on the toe line. The Schnabel forearm is similarly checkered. The length of pull is 13-5/8" to a 1/2" black Ruger rubber recoil pad.
