With smooth actions, tight hand-fitted construction, beautiful finishing, and supreme accuracy, it's no wonder hunters and collectors seek these rifles out! This rifle is a Sako L61R AV chambered in .270 Winchester. Though Sako's production records are a bit spotty, it can be guessed that this rifle was built somewhere between 1981-1985; the rounded tip of the stock's forend would indicate it may be closer to a 1985 piece. The L61R "Finnbear" was Sako's first long-action receiver, with a dual locking-lug bolt design. Over time, the L61R saw a few subtle—modifications that would lead to new designations: the AIII, AIV, and AV (similar to military "–A_" designations for standardized modifications).
