It has the correct P over eagle over V with a small 4 following at the breech. The barrel tang is dated 1836. The barrel and bands have an even bright finish with a few storage scratches. The lock is strongly marked with the eagle over U.S. at the center and SPEING over FIELD over 1836 at the tail. The lock shows its original case hardened finish mixed with bright. The cock has most of its case hardened finish. The trigger guard, butt plate, and side plate are bright with minimal staining. The sling swivels and ramrod are present.
