Second Model Springfield Allen Conversion .50-70
Description: Here is a nice solid 2nd Model Allen Conversion. These were made after the Civil War out of the thousands of muskets made obsolete by the advent af dependable cartridges. William Fetterman would have loved to have these back in the winter of 1866 when he went over Lodge Trail Ridge. Full 40 inch barrel, .50-70 cartrudge, single shot breechloader. Bore is very good and the action works fine. I haven't shot this one but will be glad to do so for a serious buyer if he so chooses. Stock and metal work are all sound and all there but show their age (160 years). Shipping and insurance to your door as an antique included in the price, Antique: Yes Rifle Caliber: .50-70 Government Manufacturer: Springfield Armory Model: 2nd allen Barrel Length: 40 Condition: Very good Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Good Bore Condition: Very Good Price: $1,100.00 Buy Now Contact Seller |
