The bore has distinguishable rifling, but there is a considerable amount of frost present. The exterior metal finish all has a light patina. There are a few markings on the wood stock. A "488" near the top tang. The stock shows a "23" on the right side of the butt. An indistinguishable cartouche is also present above the trigger group on the left side of the stock.
