Whitney Arms Scharf Model Lever Action Rifle In 44 W.C.F. In Frontier Used Condition
Description: SOLD SOLD SOLD This Whitney Scharf Model Lever Action was only produced in 1887. There were about 1250 of these rifles ever produced. This makes this rifle fairly rare today! This Whitney is in Frontier used condition. This rifle's serial number is 331. The bore is in fair condition with decent lands. This rifle is chambered to shoot the 44 W.C.F. cartridge. The sights are original to this gun. The action works smoothly with no issues. The forend has a piece of wood missing on the right side by the loading gate. This is fairly common due to the spring housing for the loading gate cover making that area very thin. This rifle is mostly in patina condition. The stock and forend have not been sanded or refinished. This is a honest well used rifle that has not been restored or worked on. This model with the Winchester style lever is the least common of these rifles. This very low serial number is also highly collectable.
