This Winchester was produced around 1948. The barrel date is 1948. This rifle's serial number is 86770. The barrel is the standard 24 inch barrel chambered for the 22 Hornet. The bore is in minty condition. This rifle is in near new condition showing very little use or being fired. The original bluing would rate a 99% condition. The sights are the original sights for this rifle. The front sight hood is intact. This rifle shows no sign of having a scope mounted. This stock has some very nice feathering to the grain. The original wood finish is fully intact. There are no dents or other blemishes to the stock. The checkering is in very fine condition with no flattened points. This rifle has the desirable earlier style clover leaf rear tang. The bolt is properly serial numbered to the rifle itself.
