As such, the French greyed receiver is machine engraved with representations of North American wildlife, scrollwork, and vignettes of frontier life while the remainder of the metal is hot blued for a striking contrast. The attractively figured walnut furniture is appointed with a French greyed forend cap, a stock medallion, a curved steel buttplate, and is checkered with spade border insets.
