Winchester Early Model 1886 Standard Rifle In 38-56 W.C.F.
Description:
This Winchester was produced in 1889. The rifle's serial number is 33415. It has the standard 26 inch round barrel. The bore is bright and sharp with no pitting. The original sights include Rocky Mountain front sight, standard rear sight and early Lyman tang sight. The reciever is mostly silvery with color cased finish in protected areas. The hammer shows good color cased finish. The butt plate is silvery. The barrel and magazine tube show almost all of the original bluing. The bolt also shows strong bluing. The screws show no marring or damage. The forend cap shows light traces of color cased finish. The stock and forend retain the original finish. This is a well cared for Winchester that has seen some use but no abuse. The action works smoothly and locks up tight. I have shot this Winchester and it is quite accurate! This is a Nice original unaltered early Winchester that collectors like to find for their collections. Also included at a extra cost is a Original Winchester Model 1894 complete loading tool with the original box, primer punch and bullet mould. The R.C.B.S. dies include the forming dies and loading dies as well as some brass and bullets. And finally, a original Lyman ruptured case remover. These items will be priced separately.
