Winchester Model 1873 Full Nickel Finished In 22 Short 1880's Production
Description:
SOLD This Winchester was produced in 1887. The rifle's serial number is 243957. This rifle has the 24 Inch round barrel chambered to shoot the 22 Short Cartridge only. The bore is in poor condition. This rifle has the rare full nickel plated finish. The original plating is worn with about 25% or better still intact. The inside magazine tube retains almost all of the original plating. The original screws are in fine condition with no burring or damaged screw heads. The action works fine with no issues. The stock and forend have no cracks or wood loss. The wood shows much use but the stock itself retains most of the original factory finish. The sights appear to be original to this gun. This is a rare Winchester with the full nickel plated finish. Being a 22 also adds to the rarity of this Model 1873. This is a well used rifle that shows character.
