Overall metal is generally good with sharp corners with just some traces of blue on the receiver as well as the barrel and mag with the balance brown/gray color. There is some light pitting the barrel most likely from poor storage. This gun features a SN just under 3,100. Not a bad old 1st Model 1873 Winchester.
