Winchester Model 1873 Rifle In 22 Long With Octagonal Barrel
Description: This Winchester 22 was produced in 1887. The rifle's serial number is 243750. This rifle has the 24 inch octagonal barrel chambered to shoot the 22 Long. The bore is in poor condition. The barrel flats are sharp with no damage. The finish on this rifle is in patina condition. The rear sight is a replacement. The brass carrier block caliber lettering is faded but still can be made out. The action works with no issues. The stock and forend have no cracks. The stock does have some dents and scuffing from much use. The screws are in fine condition with no burring or damage to the screw heads. The inner magazine tube has a good operational spring. These 22 Winchester Model 1873's are pretty rare today. This rifle is a fair example of these rare 22's. Antique M.R. Consn. (1) F.
