Winchester Model 1886 Standard Rifle In Wonderful Color Cased Finish 45-90 W.C.F.
Description:
This Winchester was produced in 1897. The rifle's serial number is 113351. This rifle has the standard 26 inch round barrel. It is chambered for the very popular 45-90 W.C.F. cartridge. The bore is in minty bright condition. The front and rear sight are the original standard sights for this model. The tang sight is by Lyman and is the correct sight for this model Winchester. This sight is in new condition. The stock and forend are in near new condition. The wood retain all of the original factory finish. The barrel and magazine factory bluing would rate a 98% overall condition. The color cased hammer would rate a 98% finish. The receiver would rate a 98% on the side panels. The bottom of the receiver has the most color case finish loss and would rate a 20% overall condition. The lever color cased finish would rate a 75% overall condition. The top and lower tang have almost all of the original color cased finish. The forend cap has faded color cased finish. The buttplate also has faded color cased finish. The bolt has all of the original blued finish. This Winchester shows very little sign of ever being used or fired. The color cased finish is really pretty! The stock and forend's finish is very pleasing to look at! This is a fine looking Model 1886 in highly collectable condition. Being chambered for the 45-90 W.C.F. is a real plus for this rifle! These standard Model 1886"s were the work horse for this model. To find a standard model in this condition is a real plus for the collector!
