Winchester Deluxe Model 1890 Rifle In 22 W.R.F.
Description: This Winchester was produced in 1903. The rifle's serial number is 180733. It has the octagonal 24 inch barrel chambered for the 22 W.R.F. The bore has good rifling with some light pitting in areas. The sights are original to this rifle. This is a second model rifle with the all blued finish. The inside left side of the lower tang is marked 17804 XX. The stock under the buttplate is also marked 17804. The buttplate is nicely color cased. The stock is nicely figured with sharp checkering. The pistol grip cap is in fine condition with no wear. The pump handle retains all of the original varnish. The action works smoothly. The take down feature is tight with no play. The barrel and magazine retain 95% of the original bluing. The receiver retains about 52% of the original bluing. The bolt has 94% of the original bluing intact. This is a very hansome looking Winchester in the seldom seen deluxe grade. The stock is outstanding looking! These early model 1890's are usually seen in well used condition. This early deluxe model in the very popular 22 W.R.F. is in very fine condition and would be a proud addition to any collection! Curio&Relic COEE (6) F.
