Winchester Model 1892 In 38 W.C.F. Second Year Production
Description:
This Winchester was produced in 1893. The rifle's serial number is 25856. This rifle has the octagonal barrel chambered to shoot the 38 W.C.F. [38-40] cartridge. The bore is in good to better condition. The lands are still in good condition with some overall light pitting. The sights are original to this Winchester. This Winchester's finish is in mostly brown patina condition. The screws are in fine condition with no burring. The stock and forend have no cracks or alterations. The forend does have a dent in the wood on the right side. There is no cracking or splitting of that area. The stock and forend retain most of the factory applied finish on the wood. This rifle has seen some honest use and wear. It has been exposed to some of the elements as expected of a working rifle. This rifle would be a nice addition to a working gun display!
