Winchester Model 1894 Carbine In 30 W.C.F. 1936 Production
Description: This Winchester Carbine was produced in 1936. The carbine's serial number is 1103867. It has the standard 20 inch carbine barrel. This carbine does not have the carbine saddle ring. This gun is a transitional model that has some of the older style parts such as the earlier style stock and forend. There is newer style parts with this gun, such as the ramp front sight with hood. The bore is minty and bright. It is fitted with a Lyman tang sight. This sight appears to have always been on this Winchester. The front and rear sight are original to this carbine. The original bluing would rate a 94% overall condition. The light bluing loss is mostly in the handling areas of the gun. The stock and forend have the very fine original varnish intact. There is no damage or cracks to the wood. The wood condition would rate a 96% overall condition. This is a very fine condition Winchester pre World War Two Carbine! It certainly is a collector grade Winchester in it's original condition. These transitional carbines are very hard to find in this nice of condition. Box of shells are for display only.
