This Collector and Shooter’s Winchester Model 53 Rifle in 25-20/25 WCF Caliber appears to our eye in approximately 95 Percent Condition (receiver appears refinished) – as if it has been in a time capsule. With SN 99XX it is numbered in the separate Model 53 series – not within the Model 1892 series. As non-experts, we estimate this one was made in the late 1920s during the middle of the 1924 – 1932 Production Run. It is the best looking (almost) 100 year-old rifle in this extraordinary collection; and it looks to be in better condition than examples selling for thousands more.
