This Winchester Model 54 was produced in 1933. The rifle's serial number is 40467. This Winchester is chambered for the 22 Hornet. 1933 was the first year the 22 Hornet was listed. The barrel is the standard 24 inch barrel with a very fine bright bore. The bolt is serial numbered to the receiver. This rifle has been lightly used. The original bluing would rate a 97% or better condition. The trigger guard and floor plate bluing would rate a 97% condition. This rifle has the Lyman side mounted adjustable rear receiver mounted peep sight. The rear sight barrel base has a blank plate installed. The front sight is the standard sight. There is no provision for a front sight hood. The action works great with no issues. The stock is in very fine condition with no dents or other blemishes. The wood still has the original finish intact. The checkering is in almost new condition. The butt plate has most of the original bluing intact. There is no alterations done to this Winchester.  These 22 Hornet rifles are very collectable! This rifle being a first year of the 22 Hornet really adds to the collectability of this Winchester! This rifle being in this fine of condition also adds to the value of this Winchester! These Model 54 rifles are really beautiful made rifles!
