Winchester Model 61 Early Production Standard Rifle With Tang Sight

This Winchester Rifle was produced in 1935. The rifle's serial number is 10520. It has the standard round barrel chambered for the 22 Short-Long And Long Rifle. The bore is in minty bright condition. The front sight is a Marble's Sheard brass center bead style. The rear sight is the Winchester standard rear sight for this model. The tang sight is a Lyman folding tang sight. This rifle shows some sign of being fired. The barrel has some light rub wear from the pump handle. The bottom of the magazine tube and operating slide rail also show some light blue loss from the operating of the pump handle. The original bluing would rate a strong 97% condition. The stock and early style pump handle retain all of the original finish. The wood has no cracks or any blemishes. This is a very fine condition early Winchester with the hard to find Tang sight and special front sight. This rifle would be a prize in any collection!
