Model 70 Featherweight Supergrade in the classic and highly desirable 257 Roberts chambering. Pre-'64 style action. Original owner. This is one of the most beautiful Model 70's you will ever find, Pre-64 or later. Stunning feathered crotch walnut stock with a mahogany tip on the forend. Deep luster polished blued finished receiver and barrel topped by a matching gloss black Leupold 3-9x40 VX-II scope mounted on 2-piece Leupold bases & rings. Engine turned bolt. Factory red Decelerator recoil pad. It is perfect, there is not one mark, dent, ding, or scratch on it. This rifle is U.S. made as these were manufactured at the FN Herstal (Browning) plant in Columbia, SC before production was moved to Portugal. It exudes typical Herstal high quality fit and finish. If the new owner desired, a Model 70 Supergrade floorplate could be installed if the Cabela's logo and script are too much for a "purist". Not only beautiful, this rifle is sub-MOA accurate.
