This Winchester was produced in 1953. The rifle's serial number is 246765. This rifle has the 25 inch round barrel chambered for the 375 Holland & Holland Magnum. The bore is in very fine bright condition. The front sight is the standard Winchester ramp sight with the sight hood. The rear sight is the rare Lyman number 6 rear sight with a special 2 screw base. This Winchester shows no sign of ever having a scope mounted on this rifle. The action works smoothly with no issues. The magazine holds 4 shells. The stock is a straight comb with hand checkering. The red recoil pad is an original Winchester installed pad in fine supple condition. The stock is in fine condition with the original finish intact. There is a few scuff marks and light bumps on the stock. The original bluing would rate a 97% overall condition. This is a wonderful condition Model 70 Winchester that has not been altered in any way! These Winchesters are getting hard to find that have not been altered or being fitted for scopes or after market recoil pads. This rifle will come with some first fired brass. This Winchester is certainly a high condition collector grade rifle that would be a great addition to any Model 70 Collection as well as a general Winchester Collection!
