This Winchester was produced in 1949. The serial number is 119881. This Winchester is one of 14,641 of these rifles chambered to shoot the 257 Roberts cartridge. This Winchester has the standard 24 Inch barrel with a very fine to minty bore. This Winchester has been fired and very lightly used. This rifle shows no sign of having a scope mounted. The front and rear sight is original to this Winchester. The front sight hood is missing. The original bluing would rate a 98% or better condition. The stock is in very fine to almost new condition. The checkering is also in very fine to new condition. The magazine floor plate and trigger housing also retain all of the original bluing. The steel butt plate is in new condition. This is a high condition Model 70 that would appeal to the collector and shooter! Many of these 257 Roberts were customized during their time of use. This Winchester is all in original condition!
