This Winchester was produced in 1962. The rifle's serial number is 553759. This rifle has the 24 inch barrel chambered for the 300 Winchester Magnum cartridge. There were very few of these 300 Winchester Magnums produced in the pre 64 series of Model 70's. The records state that only 4916 of these magnums were produced. This Winchester is very lightly used and fired. The sights are original to this gun. There is no sign of having a scope mounted on this rifle. The action shows very little sign of being operated. The original bluing would rate a 99% Condition. The trigger guard and floor plate retain all of the original bluing. The stock retain all of the original finish. The stock and checkering is in near new condition. The red recoil pad is a correct Winchester pad. This pad is not dried out or brittle. It is still supple and useable. This is a very fine original rare 300 Winchester Magnum that has not been tampered with! This Winchester is ready to join a Fine Winchester Collection!
