Browning Superposed 12 gauge...2nd year of production

SALE PENDING
Browning pre-war Superposed 12 gauge O/U shotgun. Serial number 2072 which is very early 2nd year of production..1932. This gun has 32” “step” vent rib barrels, with a middle bead added, that are choked .025” (IM) and .035” (F) with both bores being mirror perfect and .725” standard diameter. This is a grade 1 gun that was embellished with two ducks on the left side and a monogram and scene on the right side. The round knob, long tang stock has a 15 1/8” LOP over a 3/8” spacer and a 1” pad making the trigger to wood dimension at 13 ¾”. DAC is 1 5/8” and DAH is 2 3/8” with neutral cast. The unusual forearm is referred to as the "pear" shaped trap forearm and it was only available on a special order basis. The metal and wood have been completely refinished and retain 98%+ of the new finishes. Single selective trigger and mechanically very sound except the breech is off face of the receiver when the forearm is in the forward position. Regarless this is an interesting and desirable Browning superposed. Weighs 8 lbs. 4 oz.
