C.G. Bonehill Boxlock Ejector
Description: C.G. Bonehill Boxlock Ejector nicely engraved with phesents through out. Gun is a 12ga chambered in 21/2" the LOP is 14 1/4"drop at comb 1 5/16" deop at heal 2 3/16 slight cast to right gun weight is 6.2 LBS and is choked CYL and IM. All around a light nice english BLE. Bonehill were a major gun maker in Birmingham, England, and produced guns ranging from sound middling quality up to very nearly "best". Their "Belmont Interchangeable" was one of the first quality shotguns to be made using what was known as "the American system" ; all parts could be replaced without hand fitting. In early 1880 Winchester entered into an agreement with Christopher G. Bonehill of Birmingham to produce double barrel shotguns bearing the name of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. Sold through the company's New York City Depot, these shotguns retailed for prices between $40 and $85, a tidy sum in those days and indicative of good quality.
