Cogswell & Harrison Avant Tout Boxlock Side by Side in 12 Ga, a refined British field gun built with 30" barrels, 2 3/4" chambers, and a solid tapered rib for confident handling in the field.

It pairs a Prince of Wales English walnut stock with double triggers, automatic safety, and positive ejectors, while fixed chokes (Left: Full; Right: Cyl) offer pattern versatility from tight to open.

Overall condition is excellent for its age. Light handling marks in the beautiful English walnut add character, with some checkering wear on the fore-end and a textured, carved butt showing minor wear.

Barrels retain their bluing with only a few light surface corrosion marks and a small scratch on the right barrel. Engraving at the barrel tops reads “Cogswell & Harrison The Avant Tout” on the left and “141 New Bond St & 226 Strand London” on the right, and a silver bead sight caps the rib.

The break action is nice and tight with ejectors firing well. Dating to 1955 in the United Kingdom, this example measures an overall length of 46", has neutral cast with LOP 14", DAC 1 5/8", DAH 2 3/8", and weighs 7 3/10 lbs.
